The Orient Group

         

The forerunner of the Orient Group was Orient Mid-East Lines which operated a liner service with regular sailings between the USA Great Lakes to Mediterranean and Far East ports utilizing what were then the biggest deep-sea ships calling in the Great Lakes. Orient Mid-East Lines was one of the largest carriers from the Great Lakes from the time of the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway in the spring of 1963.

The Orient Group concentrates in various investments in Asia, in addition to acting as an independent representative to Dorian (Hellas) S.A. The focus of the Orient Group is in the transportation, energy, oil and gas, and real estate sectors.

Current investments range geographically from the Caspian Sea to Thailand.
